Celebrate Cross-cultural Diversity and Inclusion through Food
2023年3月25日，在 Action for Healthy Communities活动室，爱城笔友会邀请会员及家属、朋友们共同庆祝多元文化，共有29人参加了活动。
活动目的是为了促进文化多样性和包容性，参加者通过向人们介绍不同的文化促进跨文化交流。该活动包括分享最喜欢的菜肴背后的故事和享受各种民族美食。
本次活动得到了AHC的赞助。
Celebrate cross-cultural diversity and inclusion through food”, sponsored by Action for Healthy Communities, is organized by the Edmonton Chinese Writing Club. The goal is to promote cultural diversity and inclusion. The event includes sharing the stories behind a favorite dish and enjoying various ethnic food. We hope to introduce people to different cultures and improve cross-cultural communication.
活动结束前，我们对参加者进行了对活动满意度的问卷调查，收到21份有效答卷。以下是反馈汇总：
- 答卷人有48%是华裔，52%属于其它八个族裔。48%are Chinese, and 52% are of other ethnicities.
- 100%认为，总体来说，这个活动达到了预期目标。Overall, I think this event achieved its goals.
- 100%认为，这个活动帮助我扩展了文化视野。This event helped broaden my cultural perspective.
- 100%认为，这个活动组织得比较好。The event was well organized.
- 问题：您最喜欢的是什么？您认为这个活动最有意义的是什么？大多数人认为是不同民族的食物和背后的传统文化故事 。What did you like best, or find most meaningful about the event? Most people chose different ethnic food and the stories behind.
- 问题：这个活动怎样才能搞得更好？大多数人提出邀请更多人参加。How could this event have been improved? Many hoped that more people could be invited.
- 问题：这个活动与您以往对笔友会的认识有何变化？所有人说笔友会给留下了非常好的印象。How did this event impact your perception of Edmonton Chinese Writing Club? All said greatly impressed。
- 为了帮助我们改进工作，请分享其它的评论、想法和建议。所有人建议多举办类似活动。Please share any additional comments, thoughts, suggestions for future events. All hoped to attend more similar events.
AHC方代表巴兹来信说：“你们的活动真的令人大开眼界。在埃德蒙顿有你们的组织不仅对华人社区的年轻人，而且对整个埃德蒙顿的许多年轻人都意义重大。许多人缺乏写作技巧，笔友会提出这一举措将大有帮助。”
“Your event was really an eye opener. Having your Organization in Edmonton will mean a lot to many young people not only in Chinese community, but in Edmonton at large. Many people lack of writing skills and ECWC bring up this initiative will assist long way.” (Bazi, AHC)
